We are a church family centered on Jesus Christ, gathered in worship, grounded in faith, and committed to sharing God’s love in real and practical ways. Whether you have been part of church life for many years, are returning after time away, or are simply looking for a place to begin, we want St. Stephens to feel like a place of peace, hope, and belonging.

Our life together is shaped by prayer, worship, Scripture, and the sacramental life of the Church. These are not just traditions we preserve, but gifts that help us encounter God’s presence, grow in grace, and find strength for everyday life. We believe faith is meant to be lived, not only within church walls, but in the way we love our neighbors, care for one another, and serve the world around us.

At the heart of St. Stephens is a simple desire: to be a community where people can draw closer to God and know they do not have to walk alone. We value reverent worship, genuine friendship, compassionate service, and a spirit of hospitality that makes room for everyone. We believe every person is created with dignity and loved by God, and we seek to reflect that love in the way we welcome, listen, pray, and grow together.

St. Stephens is more than a building or a Sunday service. It is a community of people learning to follow Jesus together — celebrating joys, carrying burdens, asking honest questions, and encouraging one another in faith. Our hope is that when you come here, you will find not only a church, but a home: a place to worship, to heal, to grow, and to be reminded that God’s grace is always reaching toward you.

Mass is celebrated every Saturday evening at 5:30 pm via Zoom.

Evening Prayer & Lectio Divina

Wednesday nights at 6:30 pm, join the Grey Robe Benedictines for evening prayer and lectio divina.

A weekly rhythm of scripture, silence, and reflection.

Pastor / Priest

Rev. Timothy Ward - Fr. Tim comes to St. Stephens with a diverse background in ministry and life.  He started his ministry in religious life entering the Presentation Brothers in 1975 where he studied and ministered in Canada and Ireland.  He left the religious life in 1978 and worked as a pharmaecutical description writer. Seeking to work in a field tied to socia justice, he worked in the Arizona Department of Economic Security. He was ordained in 2004 as served at Holy Family UCC.

Most Rev. Terry M Boyer, OSB - 

Bishop Terry serves as Bishop of the Washington Diocese of the
Independent Catholic Church and founder of the Grey Robe Benedictines. A veteran of the United States Air Force, he was ordained to the Diaconate in 1993 and the Priesthood in 2000, and ordained as a Bishop in 20074hroughout his ministry, Bishop Terry has served as a pastor, teacher, spiritual director, and advocate for social justice, dedicating his life to helping people encounter the living Christ through prayer, community, and service.

Guided by the Benedictine values of prayer, hospitality, and contemplation, Bishop Terry believes the mission of the Church is not to make an institution known, but to make Jesus known. He is committed to building welcoming faith communities where all people can experience the fullness of sacramental life, grow in their relationship with Christ, and be inspired to serve others through compassion, justice, and love.



Social Justice

Faith expressed in mercy, advocacy, and care for the common good.

Our community believes that faith leads naturally into service. Social justice at St Stephen’s includes solidarity with the poor, care for the vulnerable, compassion for the marginalized, and practical acts of mercy in daily life.
